What types of batteries are eligible?
Are all batteries subject to the take-back obligation?
All batteries are subject to the take-back obligation. There are two exceptions, i.e.
- batteries for devices used in the space industry
- batteries intended for specific military purposes
Belgian legislation identifies 3 categories of batteries:
- portable batteries
- industrial batteries
- automotive batteries
