Sorting
All collected batteries are sorted by chemical family so that they can be optimally recycled.
Your mission: bring in used batteries
This is a mission for all of you!
150 million used batteries are hiding in Belgian households and need to be recycled as soon as possible. You often find them in discarded toys, in your garden shed or in a forgotten drawer.
Bebat is therefore calling everyone from February 17 to March 17: locate all these empty batteries and quickly bring them to a Bebat collection point. This way, we can recover the raw materials and give them a new life.
Together, we make this mission possible!
Not visible, but still there
Used batteries can be found everywhere: big or small, well-known or obscure, visible or invisible. You already knew that there are batteries in your remote control. But have you also thought about the battery in your drill? Or the one in your scale? You might not see them right away, but they are there! And those batteries need to be recycled once they are completely empty and discarded.
A new life for your used batteries
Brought in all your used batteries? Then we'll give them a new life.

The raw materials we recover from used batteries are given a new life in various applications.
